Dramaturg & Facilitator Portfolio

Ida Johannessen has worked as a dramaturg and facilitator since 2023. Her most recent position is as a facilitator at CKI – Danish Centre for Arts and Interculture, where she specialises in co‑creation, workshop design, and participant‑centred artistic processes. She supports project coordination, practical workflows, and partner communication, and leads facilitation activities that ensure inclusive, safe, and well‑structured environments across the project’s laboratories and collaborative formats.

Her background spans both Denmark and Ireland. She has designed and led workshops abroad, collaborated on international theatre productions, and holds a postgraduate degree in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Copenhagen, alongside MA studies in Theatre and Performative Practices at University College Cork, Ireland.

Drawing on additional experience as an actor and dramaturgical consultant, she brings sharp artistic insight, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to her work. She thrives at the intersections of art, community, and dialogue, and sees artistic practice as a tool for connection and change. Working across theatre, film, and performance, she is driven by creating inclusive artistic spaces, developing workshops, and supporting international collaborations.

Facilitation & Workshops

  • Making Artistic Work in Progress (2024–present)
    Facilitated workshops using creative writing, voice, and physical exercises to support artistic processes. A workshop format designed and led with individual artists and groups, focusing on artistic development, dramaturgy, feedback, and creative thinking.
  • Projects, CKI (2025–)
    Works within the EU‑funded project TRAST, which focuses on strengthening artistic practices, community engagement, and intercultural dialogue among underrepresented and minority groups including Inuit communities in Denmark and other participants across partner countries.
  • Contributes to the development of co‑creative workshop formats, laboratory structures, and facilitation frameworks tailored to diverse participants, ranging from emerging artists to community members with lived experience. Responsibilities include workshop design, trustbuilding, facilitating group processes, and ensuring safe, inclusive, and well‑structured environments across laboratories, residencies, and public events.

Dramaturgy & Consultancy
